So bummed on people....

I came across something really sad and frustrating today. About a month ago, a kid that I teach skate lessons to had to take a few weeks off, and were told it was because of a dog bite. I wasn't told any specifics or anything, but his parents told us that he needed surgery. My only thought was that it must have been some bite if he was going to take over a month off and need surgery. Anyway, I didn't really think much about it after that, I just knew he'd be back soon enough.

He showed up today for the first time in over a month his normal happy self, except now he has about a 6 inch, 'C' shaped scar covering his entire left cheek. I couldn't believe it. This innocent 10 year old kid is fucking scarred for life because a rottweiler took half his fucking face off.

I think whoever owns that dog should be in a lot of trouble. I don't know the details of who's dog it is or how any of it happened, but I pray to Jah that my little buddy and his family sue the dog owners for as much as they can get. And I hope that those assholes and more assholes after them think about what could happen when you get a dog like a rottweiler or a pitbull and put them around kids.

I know that alot of people don't agree with me or would come up with a million things to say back to this, but there is no fucking point in owning those types of dogs. The risk isn't worth it at all. I don't see a difference in owning a pitbull or a rottweiler and owning a fucking mountain lion or a regular lion for that matter. They're fucking animals and they act like animals. Maybe my little friend did something that threatened the dog.... understandable that the animal would defend himself if he felt threatened, but why was that situation ever even able to present itself?

I'd like to rip of chunk out of the cheek of whoever owns that fucking dog and anyone who thinks that owning those types of dogs is a good idea. Especially when they let them around children. I'm glad that my little skater buddy was in a good mood and had a good time skating today, because I was fucking furious. Sorry if you all hate me now.

  1. lions are in the feline family.. maybe a wolf would be a more appropriate comparison?

  2. That's true, I was just trying to think of an animal that people DON'T have as pets, but unfortunately, people do own wolves.

  3. I think it's justifiable to be angry at the way the owner raised the dog, but condemning them for merely owning a particular breed is a little harsh. I've seen extremely friendly pittbulls and rottweilers. It all depends on how they're brought up.

  4. That's what everyone says. But why risk it?

  5. i've got to agree with you tim. i've seen and been around amazing pitbulls and rottweillers, but no matter how good they are if things go bad, they go real bad. it's the potential in the dog not the dog. that's what makes those breeds dangerous.
