I just saw Milk tonight and it might just be the four dollar and twenty five cent soda talking, but Milk is one of the best movies that I've ever seen. Inspirational, sad, funny at parts, informative, angering, etc etc etc. I don't care about actors and Oscars and all that shit, but that movie was good. I also don't know much about the current gay rights "movement," but I want to learn more and get more involved. Someday, we'll be shamefully explaining to our kids that when we were younger, gay people weren't allowed to marry. And just like how it makes no sense to us that at one time interracial marriages were illegal, it won't make sense to them that gay marriages are illegal. It's embarrassing to say the least. Maybe the problem is there isn't really anyone pushing as hard for gay rights right now as there was back then when Milky was working on it. I'm gonna do some research.

Maybe no one is pushing hard for the same reason that we sat a seat apart from each other... No one wants to look gay! (because we all are and we are all afraid to show it)
ReplyDeletep.s. do you want to go on another date soon?
