This is Brad and Pat playing tetherball one day while we were out skating. Brad seriously turned 7 this day.

Sf super video post!
Golden Gate bridge! I was going to jump off this thing while I was in town, but someone showed me footy on their webcam of some dudes abd'ing it! I was bummed. I'm trying to come up and fools are blowing my joint out!
We went to a large mall with confusing escalators. See?
We went to this museum and aquarium. It was pretty cool. They had an albino alligator, jelly fish, sharks, etc. But my favorite thing there was this pendulum thingy. It just swings back and forth, back and forth all day long and about once every half hour or 39 minutes, it knocks over one of these pegs that are laid out around it in a circle. The point being to show that the earth is rotating!
So I watched this thing swing back and forth for probably twent minutes just to see it do this. Like I said though, this was one of my favorite things there!
Now I know that the earth is spinning.
I found out that my sister snores like a bear!
I went to the Sf skatepark... definitely one of the highlights of the trip.
Sf is pretty, and windy, and hilly.

San Fransisco super post!
I returned safely from my trip to San Fransisco. Here is what I saw and did. Enjoy.
This sidewalk doesn't drink, smoke, or fuck.
Not you, Pat Franklin. They're talking about a different Pat.
Redwoods
Jellyfish
Crazy roof
Suicide Machine
Lombard street
large mall
Alcatraz
A little skate tourism.
I wanted to do something crazy on this trip. I mean, after all, it was spring break. I decided a tattoo would be the perfect way to get reckless and crazy for spring break! So I got blacked out drunk, drove a trolley over to Walgreens to get the gnarliest tattoo that they had, and when I got there I was totally fucking bummed to find out that they don't even sell tattoos at Walgreens. All they sell are these lame ass tattoo starter kits! Best two hundred bucks I ever spent though. SPRING BREAK!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a picture of my brother's apartment, and another picture of the view from his apartment window. See if you can find 10 differences in these two pictures!
Usually there would be a picture taken out the window of the plane, possibly of the wing, but I opted to give my audience(ari) something different. No one takes a picture of the inside of the plane.

PFRANX
When I arrived home from the airport this morning I was saddened by the leaving of my favorite indie artist, Pat Franklin. Pfranx took off on his hog without a second thought about where he'd go, and what he'd do when he got there. That's how he lives, one minute to the next, caution thrown to the wind at all times. If you see him, keep your distance. He'll make you fall in love with him and then he'll just walk out on you! I miss him already.

The reason why blogs are lame.
I haven't been the best blogger for the last few days. I'm still in San Fransisco right now but I'm leaving tomorrow morning at 6am! When I get home I'm going to make a super post with pictures and videos galore. So all of my fans can relax and know that you'll get blogged right across the face really soon. I can tell you right now though that a lot has happened while I've been up here and I should return to Arizona with a little bit of a spring in my step!

Back by popular demand.............
You asked for it, you got it. My second installment in the daily monkey series. This is Mathew from my work. He's a wedge local and his dad is from New Zealand, so he has a sort of half New Zealand accent, it's pretty funny.

EssEff part Three
Skated for the first time in SF today. I bombed (ha) the slight hill from my brother's apartment to downtown area to skate the library. I'd never been there before so I wanted to make sure I got there while I was in town, and I did. After I re-did Mike Carrol's famous line there I skated around and explored a little bit of that area. I saw a famous fountain that Brad Staba used to skate. He was there, crying about the old days. I went over to talk to him, but no words were exchanged, only tears.
After that weird little exchange I ventured around a little more. I begged for some change and came up on like $47 dollars in about 30 minutes and headed back to the library. I skated some more, mostly just sat on a ledge and watched all the book readers going in and out, then I skated uphill full speed back to my brother's apartment. Now I'm going to watch 30Rock for the next five days and try to not leave my brother's house.

Greetings from San Francisco.
All you word haters are going to pretty bummed on me for the next week of bogs. I have my phone, which is where most of my pictures come from, but I don't think I'll be uploading pictures onto the blog while I'm here. I'll do them when I get home. I got to SF yesterday morning at about 8:30am and had to wait about an hour or so for my sister's flight to get in. It was cool, I spend ten dollars on some really shitty subway at the airport. Then I met up with my sister and took a taxi to my brother's place, which is super nice. He pays like $7,000 a month. Just kidding. His place is really cool, lots of windows and doors. There is a trolley car that goes by just outside so you get the feel of the urban-ness of his San Fransisco-ness.
Yesterday we just walked all over and check shit out. My sister has never been here so everything is all new to her. She's actually never even been to California so she's getting a good first impression. We walked all day yesterday and then I came home and slept from about 8:30pm until about 9:00 this morning. I hope you enjoyed my words PRESTON and ZOE!

Happy birthday to Yeah!
Yeah boardshop turned 1 years old today! The Illinois suburbs has needed a good skater owned and operated shop for a long time and for the past year, we've seen it. Here's to Steve, here's to Yeah! May it continue to grow and prosper!
Daily monkey!
This is going to take some explaining, so try to stay with me. My good friend and local rave sensation Tyler Harl has a funny way of looking at things. I don't know if it's all the E getting to him or if he just has a different view of the world through his four wonderful eyes, but he has a way of reading things his own way. He also has a hard time changing things once they're placed firmly into his brain, even when they're wrong and he knows it. He is the reason why Ari's mustache themed blog is now called Mustacheme (pronounced musta-sheem) instead of it's original title (pronounce mustache me)! He pronounces Michael Kryger's name (correctly pronounced Kree-ger)incorrectly almost constantly, calling him Cry-ger. That's just a couple of examples of this Tyler Harl character's twisted, E induced view of the world.
If you are a fan of my blog, like myself, and you read all the posts carefully and constantly, like I do, then you would have seen my post from two days ago in which I explain that my short hiatus was over and I was back on the scene. I believe that what I said exactly was..."I just took a few days off. I'm back to posting daily monkeys." I don't know if this was as obvious as I though it was, but I was calling all of you bonejobs reading this swill Monkeys. You are the monkeys. But Tyler Harl, using his unique world view, thought that I was saying that my daily posts were called 'daily monkeys!' So after all that explaining, I hope you monkey heads can figure out how funny that is. He has inspired the changing of one blogs name entirely and now he's single handedly and quadruple eyed-edly changed some of the content on my own blog! So without further adooooo, I'd like to present my newest feature of the overly popular Chumpchange blog, my first Daily Monkey featuring Tyler Harl himself. This was filmed during a half hour break between raves yesterday. Harl had a pound of E in his system and I think that he was just trying to tell me something and these sounds came out!!!! This is the most I've ever typed in my life. I'm tired now.

Hiatus over!
You thought I was done?!!!? Hell no! I just took a few days off. I'm back to posting daily monkeys. And If any of you punks have any questions about why I have 13 followers(and that's just people who follow publicly), don't ask me, Check da blog archive fool! I took a few days off but now I'm back. I hope you got some good hangman in!
Ari says the key to having the dopest blog is updating always... So here I am!!!!
My first post comin back from my two day hiatus is about losing a brother. Brett Reed is leaving us very soon to head back to Indiana. I don't know what else to say about it other than it's sad. Brett is amazing. He has silently and with all modesty possible proven himself to be one of the more talented skateboarders that I know. I have loved having him staying in my living room for the second winter in a row and if it's in my power to do it again, I'll hope for a third. I would tell you to say Hello if you ever come across Brett, but chances are he's already said hi to you first. And if you're a girl, than he's definitely already talked to you by now and probably has your number!

blogger's block
Yesterday, I took my first day off since I started this blogging thing. I guess I needed a rest, annnd no blog ideas popped into my head. I think I've had my first blogger's block. I have a whole bunch of potential clips of the day saved up and ready to use, but I like when I have something really specific in mind that I actually want to throw up onto the blogwaves. I don't really have anything right now so here is a submission from Erst boi 3. It's a video that was supposed to be just a still picture but he had it on the video setting on accident.

Spot Check: The foundation spot by my house.
There is an abandoned slab down the street from my house that we've been skating for a few months. It used to be an obnoxious bar called Acme or something stupid like that. I used to skate past there and drunk idiots would yell stuff at me almost every time. Now I'm skating all over their stupid bar while they're forced to get drunk somewhere else and yell 'SKATE OR DIE FAGGOT' to someone else. Now people just yell things when they drive by. Real original. Anyways, the spot has two things to skate. A manual pad and a pole jam. Actually, right now there are two pole jams. One is metal and the other is plastic, for beginners. This is Steve Perdue and Tj Larsen trying to work out some of the kinks.
The manual pad is really fun and hecka smooth on top. The landing goes from rough to really rough once you ride off the curb, but I usually don't make it that far, so I just skate the smooth part. Pat O'Brian has no problem navigating his way across the smooth and into the rough.
Sometimes I drive by there and see Ronnie Creager skating. One time I pulled up in my car and saw Andrew Cannon do a fakie flip to fakie manuel on the manny pad section. It was amazing. I also have driven by a bunch of times and seen Ghetto D and other BossBallin dudes skating there. They probably do really good stuff there and don't think anything of it. Everytime I've been there, about 50-60 pretty girls walk or ride by on a bike. It can be distracting or motivating depending on how you look at it. More often than not they keep their eyes forward or their heads down to keep the skateboarders from hooting and hollering, but sometimes you get a nice smile. I don't. But I do skate the beginner's pole jam.

Sedona park day.
I had nothing to do with this day. I wasn't there. But that doesn't make me love it any less. All of the people in it are great people, and the places that they went are great places. So what I have here is a great video of great people at great places.

double tree
This is Pat and Cody ollying through the branches of a tree in downtown Phoenix. Pat should have been this month's Roger of the Month but he didn't make it. Some really boring kid won. Anyway, Pat loves to sing and has been making me lol so much lately with his songs about how much he loves soda. I like them because they're funny and the totally speak to me. Cody doesn't sing songs to me, which is fine too.

Tim Armour
I posted a slam of Tim Armour last week in honor of him coming to town. So, in honor of him leaving town, here's the make. Tim came and went already, and I feel like we had a real nice trip. I haven't talked to Tim a whole lot since I left town a few years, which sucks because Tim is a great man. I like how he handles himself. Managing full time work, home ownership, and skateboarding all quite nicely. I hope I am still skating hard five years from now.

This is a video from outside of my soon-to-be former house. It's Josh Orr and Dylan Messer from Indiana skating a stolen bench. The people at my apartment complex call the police whenever anyone skates in our parking lot, so the bench doesn't get much use. It was a really fun bench too. Anyway, Jorr's doing the noseblunt and Dylan is doing the lipslide.

No reason post.
I have no real reason for posting this picture. I just like it. I think it's one of my favorite pictures that I have of myself. Buzzy took this picture in a subway station in New York City while we on the Playstation boom boom huck jam tour. It was my first and only (so far) trip to New York and I'm glad I have a picture to remember it with. I was giving some money to this little kid to reward him for his breakdancing skills. He was the youngest and least experienced of his little dancing crew, so I'm sure he was psyched to bring in some dough. Hopefully he earned some points with the crew.
In the picture, it looks like I'm visiting some kind of zoo that keeps kids on display. It's not, but that's not a bad idea though.....
Rollerbladers?

Everyone at my house hates me now.
They hate me because I spend too much time blogging. They're just like my parents, they don't understand. I was watching Beavis and Butthead and I saw this.
This is Champ and Codee. Champ is 2 years old and he's the first kid that you see in this clip, and Codee is 4 and he's the second kid. Listen to Champ go down the bank on his belly, so funny.
People think that the place that I work at is lame. I've heard people say that we are training baby Shecklers and that it's the end of skateboarding. I disagree. Most of the kids at my work don't even know who Ryan Sheckler is, let alone any other pros. A lot of them don't know tricks and especially which ones are cool and which ones aren't. They don't care. They are into skateboarding for the very purest of reasons, because it rolls and it's fun. Some of the kids at my work are pretty silly and want to get good so they can get gold medals in the olymxgames. But for the most part, they're just kids who like skating because it rolls it's a way to go faster than walking. I think there is a lot wrong with skateboarding right now, so it's refreshing to be around kids who don't know or care about skateboarding as anything but a toy to have some fun with.
By the way, I think Nike, Adidas, Converse, Zumiez, Industrial, etc are the downfall of skateboarding. So don't support them, unless you want to.

bye bye Ry Ry
Saying goodbye isn't easy, and tomorrow we'll be losing a good soldier in the war against all things serious. Ryan Reyes has been living underneath the stairs in my apartment since December 08 and tomorrow he heads back to his homeland of Costa Mesa. We'll be sad to see him go for sure. Over the past few months he's brought a lot of laughs to our home and kept a youthful fun vibe going day and night. I feel like I'm losing a little brother. It's a shame, but at least now I can finally take the cotton balls out of my nostrils.

this song is cool
Steve Davenport skated to this song in some old video and I've always loved it. I didn't know about this video though until tonight. I'm happy.
I'm not calling them clips of the day anymore.
I didn't want to in the first place but I did anyway. You gotta do what you want and not do what you not want. I rode the light rail for the first time today. I thought it was really fun, and then I thought about what it's made for and I stopped having fun and started thinking about the hard working people who need it to get to and from work. I stopped having fun that instant. I took my ride on the light rail very seriously after that.
